from Daughters of Change · host Tanner Campbell, Claudia Kitchens, Marie Sola

Claudia Kitchens received numerous awards and recognition for her work on behalf of women and children. She coordinated educational and program development activities in the areas of teen sexual health and pregnancy prevention for Our Kids of Miami-Dade/Monroe. From 2000-2009 Claudia served as the Executive Director of The Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade. She has been the President of Junior League of Miami, Executive Director of Kids Voting Florida and Executive Director of Miami Coalition for the Homeless. Claudia has been recognized for her success in bringing diverse groups to the table to create strategic solutions to community problems such as homelessness, domestic violence, sexual assault, foster care and more. She has also nurtured several community-based organizations from their founding to vibrant community organizations.

As a young woman, Claudia was told by a banker to just "play tennis with her friends" instead of opening a business. She took it from there and won game, set and match!
