She abandoned her inheritance and potential for independent wealth to rise up from the conditioning that a woman only has so much worth and value to landing in Los Angeles with her mom to find herself in a very tough neighborhood, which was a different lifestyle than she had been exposed to growing up. Her decision to leave her inheritance and father’s control meant that she would first survive and then thrive.
