A Journey Home

The podcast has been on an extended break lately. This was partly due to Rane's recent trip back to New Zealand. And what a trip it was! In this episode we change the format slightly - we hear Rane speaking with Jo about the chaotic events that occurred while he was in New Zealand - from calling the ambulance at 4 am for his father, to jetting around the country to visit various hospitals, and concluding with the funeral of another family member. Rane also shares about the sad but ultimately rewarding time he spent with his mother and his learning to come to terms with her dementia. It was a tumultuous journey with emotional highs and lows.
