In today’s reading, we explore how a single compromise can grow into spiritual ruin, as Solomon’s many foreign wives draw him away from the Lord. We also see God’s discipline through raised adversaries and a promise of a new dynasty for Jeroboam. The contrast between Solomon and David becomes stark: while David sinned, he always returned wholeheartedly to God.
