Send a textLogic is an important study that everyone should have at least a basic knowledge of. This includes fallacies. Fallacy simply means a mistake in reasoning. Fallacies, when we can see them, can help us see when someone is saying something that isn't true. This leads to people properly avoiding these mistakes. However, people can also incorrectly call something a fallacy that isn't. One of the most common examples of this is the fallacy known as ad hominem. Ad hominem usually refers to "name calling," or making a statement about the person arguing instead of the argument. However, we see all over the Bible making direct and often offensive claims about people, and sometimes even calling them names. However, they do this while also attacking the argument they're up against. This should tell us that name calling isn't always a fallacy, and can potentially be used appropriately to accentuate a point.
