A life as an artist with iconic commercial voice, Harlan Rector

This week Burke is joined by Harlan Rector, a natural talent who has spent his long life creating, whether it be writing, drawing, animating, directing, painting, or using his voice Harlan is never done making things. Harlan's iconic voice has been featured in dozens of documentaries and commercials. Serving 37 years strong as the voice for Blue Bell Creameries. Harlan goes into detail talking about what it was like trying to get into the industry so young at a time soon after World War 2. He tells his story, featuring a variety of modern-day pop-culture legends he has come across in his life like James Earl Jones, the voice of Darth Vader. Along the way Harlan has been featured in dozens of commercials and projects, having even spent 4 years working with the History channel. Having worked for so many years, Harlan still directs media and promotional projects around the country.
