His story starts in Peoria Illinois, where he was the first generation of his family NOT to work at the Caterpillar factory making tractors. His journey went from the high school speech team to working at a local Peoria ad agency to UT Austin and eventually New York City, where he arrived just in time for 9/11 and all the havoc it brought to the city.
