Full Transcript: Hour 3, Segment 2 Charlie James: All right, welcome back to the program. JJ, you're not going to believe this. You're not going to believe this. They want to come back on. [laughs] They want to—they want to come back on. I just got an email, they want to come back on the show once we got a Republican nominee. Uh, huh? We'll see, we'll see, we'll see, we'll see. Let's go to, uh—let's go to Mike in Spartanburg. Mike, welcome. Mike: Hey, Charlie. I got a lot of information, uh, to throw at you so I want to talk quick. I just heard your interview—interview with that doctor, and she's saying to consult with doctors and whatnot. So, long story short, in 2019, I had got sick. I had changed jobs, went to drive—I'm a truck driver now. Charlie James: Right. Mike: And, uh, it started with headaches, and then I started getting, uh—I couldn't function, weak, tired. So I started going to the doctor and I'm like, they're a doctor, so I'm going to them for help because, you know, that's what they do. So I go to one doctor and they're telling me just, "You're stressed, you're worried." I said, "No, there's something wrong with me." But, they're a doctor, so, okay, I took their advice, they prescribed me a anxiety medication, whatnot, took it, it seemed to make things worse. Charlie James: Wow. Mike: I told my sister about my symptoms and she told me, "Hey, there's a thing—I, I have..." she's telling me she had a, basically, similar symptoms and she had a thing called H. pylori, a bacterial infection in the stomach. I tell my doctor about it and they just brushed it off, nothing for you to worry about. I also started getting dizzy. So I started, uh—my doctor referred me to, uh, physical therapy, uh, for the dizziness. I go to her, I go to physical therapy for about a month, I feel better, she discharges me. A week later, my symptoms come back. Charlie James: Uh-huh. Mike: So after about a fourth time going to physical therapy, she tells me, "Get my stomach checked." So I go to my doctor and I tell them, "Hey, um, you know, I want to get my stomach checked." And they're like, "Oh, there's nothing for you to worry about." Um, uh, so I—I end up, uh, talking her into referring me to a stomach doctor. I can't pronounce how it is, uh, the—the name of a stomach doctor. Charlie James: Yeah. Mike: So, they refer me to him, as soon as I tell him my symptoms, he's like, "Yeah, it could be Lyme disease, it could—it could be a parasite, it could be H. pylori," which I never, uh, heard of. Come to find out, he tests me, I have H. pylori. Fix—uh, you know, prescribed my medication, whatnot. That's it, I, you know, I—I feel better. Another thing they didn't tell me is, it's contagious and whatnot. Um, so I have to have my wife, uh, get treated at the same time, if not I'm going to get reinfected. Charlie James: Oh, wow. Mike: Um, so yeah, so I—I don't know if you ever heard of a H. pylori or not. Um... Charlie James: No. Mike: Uh, look into it. So, it's a stomach—it's a, uh, bacterial infection that's usually caused by, uh, contaminated water, but it's also contagious through saliva. Um, somebody shares a drink with you or—or a kiss or—or whatnot. Charlie James: Uh-huh. Mike: Yeah. Ended up taking that—uh, taking care of that, that's it. I started feeling better. And crazy thing is, is if you don't look into it yourself and—and dig into these things, it's like the doctors, they were putting me on medication for—for my headaches, I had migraines. I would have had—I would have had to be on for the rest of my life. Charlie James: Right. You—doctors got to listen to you. We—we, instinctively, know a lot about what's going on in our bodies. I appreciate it, Mike. Let's go to Jason in Bostick. How you doing, Jason? Jason: I'm good, Charlie. So, here's a question for you. Charlie James: All right. Jason: Everybody says that—that the politicians, they work for us and we pay their salary. Which is in, in a roundabout way, true. ...
