A Little Bit of Growth
from Horse Hippie’s Morning Mantras · host Horse Hippie
Morning Mantra: “Growth begins when you stop believing everything you think.”We don’t respond to what actually happens, we respond to our perception of what happened. Many times, of all the possible interpretations we could have of a situation, we often choose the worst one. Well, our brain chooses it. But why?Our brain functions from memories. It compares the current situation to one where you felt the same- even if the scenarios are completely different. It finds somewhere it is comfortable (or at least familiar) and decides based on this, that the situation is what it is. It rarely operates in reality unless we train it to. Unless we consciously LOOK for other reasons the situation could be what it is that has NOTHING TO DO WITH US. For example, if someone doesn't get back to your message quickly you might think it's because they don't like you so they are purposely ignoring you. OR you can chose to think it's because they are busy. and you attach no deeper meaning to it.This is called healing. And healing is freedom. This is very liberating and powerful.#BeWillingToSeeOtherReasons #BeHappy #BeHippie #MorningMantra #WordsToInspire #InspirationalQuotes #SmallBusinessOwner #WomenOwned #HorseHippie #HorsehippieBoutique
