"A Little Dab'll Do Ya", and Christmastime with Ian Rose

It's Christmastime here at Galaxy Nostalgia Network! On this program, we remember our friend Ian Rose (pictured), who passed away in 2014. As one of the original Galaxy Guys, Ian joined us at the start of our radio shows and podcasts almost 14 years ago. Today's show is an encore presentation of Program 33, from 2010: Ian and Smitty recall "A Charlie Brown Christmas", while Mike B. remembers "Greasy Kid Stuff": those pomades, tonics and hair care products that were popular with guys in the 1950s-1960s. Additionally, Ian recalls radio station automation, something he witnessed first hand in his early years as a radio broadcaster and traffic reporter. Our Retro-Commercial is a memorable one for Cracker Jack, the candy-coated popcorn snack. Our crew of Galaxy Good Guys and Good Gals wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year. We'll be back in 2024 with more golden memories of the Baby Boomer years, here at the multi-award winning Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site, on the Galaxy Nostalgia Network. https://bit.ly/3tvZ1iT
