A little footy, a lotta Gumpy & a special glass of wine..THIS IS THE SHOW

This week, the Consig made a call to the docks and got a Gump to kick it around with the boys.  THIS IS THE SHOW.  Gump Gathcart (@BubbaGumpino), a guy on the Pat McAfee Show & co-host of the Hammer Dahn podcast, joins Dave, Carl and Neuby with the Cinco De Mayo edition of the Cash Considerations Show.Listen as Gumpy tells the boys how he went from Victoria, BC high school soccer player to the PMI studio in Indianapolis. After high school, Gump went from working on boats in Canada to hangin with Pat McAfee & the boys on the show. They called him Dump when he called in, but he kept calling and showing up like his beloved Red Sox. Now living in Indy, Gump knows his footy, has the voice to match the beard game and bends it like Beckham by the end of the interview. Gumpy sticks around with the boys to talk sports, gambling and life. First stop is the NFL draft. All the picks are done. Gump is coming off the Draft Spectacular, and he says “Eat It” better than Weird Al in “Amish Paradise.” Gump is happy with his Dolphins draft, Carl is keeping his New England future, and Neuby is in rebuild mode in Philly. Dave throws out a couple NFL season win totals for the boys before running out the clock on NFL talk in May.Two weeks left in the NBA season means blowouts and dribble outs. Don’t look now, but you know who is in first place in the East when Neuby PLAYS THE SONG for the Sixers. Dave has an oddsmaker’s test  with the Lakers, and the boys nailed it like Steph from three. Take your shot with the number of LA wins before heading to the ice.The last week of the NHL season means we “Pull the Goalie” one more time before the chase for Lord Stanley. Tom Wilson sparks a good talk amongst the boys. Carl and Dave square off but hope the Bruins and Penguins (yes, that’s their real name) save it for round two. Gump can probably really sing O Canada, but he doesn’t know who is coming out of the North. It’s gonna be a war out of the Southeast, and VGK and COL will see each other. No face washes or trips to the penalty box, but the hockey debate is strong.Gump played some baseball back in the day (before the quad) and he certainly knows how to play it now in the book. It’s all about the first five, and like he tells Tone Digz on Hammer Dahn everyday, take the plus half a run. Neuby wants to avoid the bullpen in Philly and almost gets thrown out like Girardi when he got a little too heated. Red Sox Nation opposite ends of the spectrum for Gump and Carl, but they share that love and a couple memories of favorite Boston baseball moments. Dave went to the closer to shut the door before extra innings.Lastly, the coordinating producer/social media manager/co host Carl H-A-S-C-A-L-L went all arch rival with the “Carl’s Corner” segment of the show. Name your Mt Rushmore of guys you don’t like in sports. Dave had a whole mountain range of jagoffs, Neuby went the executive route with a glass of wine, Gump still hasn’t forgotten and Carl remembers Johnny Most & how most fans in Boston feel about the Bad Boys. As it always does, The Take a Minute segment closed up shop on the Cash Considerations show.
