A Long Journey - Sermon
from The CCUPC Cutting Room Floor
Pastor discusses the significance of humility and responsibility in the context of repentance, drawing on the parables of the prodigals and the psalms of David. He emphasizes that true repentance involves acknowledging one's sins and understanding the pain caused by them, rather than attempting to justify or hide them. Both the younger son and David demonstrate the need to admit guilt and accept the consequences of their actions, which ultimately leads to healing and restoration. Pastor encourages the congregation to confront their own sins, seek forgiveness, and embrace the transformative power of grace through humility. Sermon 3-23-25
