One of the great things about having a talk show is being able to invite interesting friends on. You can just have a conversation similar to what you might have in "real life" with people listening in. I mentioned in the summary of a recent episode that a conference at the Council on Foreign Relations ended up inspiring several shows. This is one. My guest didn't attend that, but I appreciated his insights on the subjects that were covered over the 2 days of the gathering in NYC. Charley Honey was an editor/columnist for the Grand Rapids Press Religion section for many years. He is a man of keen intellect & deep spirituality. When I invited him on back in 2016 the nation was very tense. We were looking down the barrel of 4 years of a Trump presidency. We were still confident that it wouldn't happen, but the moral fissures of the country were made very apparent. We spoke of other things as well. Theme music "Nigal."
