A Man After God's Heart - Pt.1

from Ten Thousand Worlds · host Luis Urrego

On this episode I wanted to share part 1 of my favorite sermon of the year which was a sermon preached by brother Aaron McGeary preached back in October at the Men's Meetings held in Hickory North Carolina. It was a sermon dedicated to all husbands, fathers, pastors, ministers, but it easily applies for any believer today both man, woman, and child.  This sermon was so powerful and it touched everyone there in attendance and became a wake up call to all of us who are trying to serve the Lord in this hour. It solidifies the fact that our battle is not with flesh and blood, but with Spirits that anoint individuals and that we are our own worst enemy. Acts 13:21-23 21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.  22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.  23 Of this man's seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus: Genesis 18:19 19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. Barnum. Some laws teach the need for prudence (“Law 1: Never Outshine the Master”), others teach the value of confidence (“Law 28: Enter Action with Boldness”), and many recommend absolute self-preservation (“Law 15: Crush Your Enemy Totally”). The Ten Commandments Chad Boersema Many focus on MAKING disciples, we hope to help in the process of BEING a disciple of Jesus. Understanding the ten commandments can be a good place to reflect on, as they were one of Israel's first introductions to learning how to relate to God and live in His way. Jesus also references the commandments in his sermon on the mount saying, “...whoever does them [the commandments] will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:19) Looking forward to exploring these with you!
