A Mississippi Home Birth with Ammie Harries

Today on The Natural Birth Podcast we have Ammie Ammie is a mama of 2 and expecting her 3rd baby in just a few short months, from Mississippi, USA. She recently left her full time teaching career to be a full-time mum to her little ones.  Ammie’s first birth was a quite traumatic hospital birth.  She was pushed into induction and interventions she didn’t want, but didn’t know enough about to refuse.  When she fell pregnant again she did a lot more research and decided on a home birth with a midwife. She believes birth is truly a rite of passage that so many women are deprived of in today’s traditional birth setting and loves sharing her story in hopes to empower other mamas.
