A Moment Of Pause

We are back now, and I want to share something with you that has been sitting with me — a reflection on a life that, I think, is one of the clearest illustrations the OPUS world has ever offered of what it means to discover what brings you alive, and then refuse to keep it to yourself.I want to talk about Dolly Parton. Dolly Parton's roots were in the mountains of Tennessee. Her gifts began as something personal, particular, close to home. She attended to what was nearest. And in doing so, she created something that moved far beyond her — through the songs, through the stories, through the books, through the lives of people who needed exactly what she had to give.
