A Moment To Pause: Friday 3rd July 2026

You are welcome to the reflection today with Mary O'Brien from our Lourdes Team in Dublin. Good morning and welcome to our Oblate time of Reflection.  In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  Amen.  The gospel today is from John 20:24-29 and it is the story of doubting Thomas.   When told that Jesus had appeared to the apostles in the upper room, he refused to believe it.  He wanted proof – to see and feel the wounds on Jesus’ body.   So when Jesus appeared again he invited Thomas to touch his wounds.   Thomas’s response ‘My Lord and my God’ are words of faith.  There are a lot of things that we must accept on trust ..and with faith, not just faith in Jesus but in those who spread the gospel of Jesus.     We pray:   Lord I believe; help thou my unbelief. Amen.
