A Moment To Pause: Lent Tuesday 31st March 2026

from A Moment to Pause - a short daily Christmas reflection · host The Oblates

Welcome to a Moment to Pause with Br Michael Moore OMI as we journey through Holy Week.  Good morning and welcome to our morning prayer as we continue Holy Week. Today we are presented with another meal. We hear Jesus speak directly to Judas and Peter. Judas betrays Jesus when he accepts a piece of bread from him. Peter is full of sincere words, but as we know by Friday, his actions were let him down, and he will deny that he even knows Jesus. These days we are called not only to witness, but to actively take part in all that is happening to Jesus. This is what he meant when he asked us to take up our cross and follow him. This is part of our journey. Let us pray for the courage and strength to remain faithful to Jesus as his darkest hour approaches. We pray for our own intentions in silence. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. 00:01:19:17 - 00:01:23:01 Lord, give us the strength to stay with you today as we carry our cross and follow you. Thank you for praying with us this morning. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
