A Moment To Pause: Maundy Thursday 2nd April 2026

Welcome to a Moment to Pause with Br Michael Moore OMI as we journey through Holy Week. Good morning and welcome to our morning prayer as we continue Holy Week. This evening we are invited to each one last meal with Jesus, and during this meal, Jesus washes his friends and our feet before he is raised up on the cross. Jesus bends low as a slave to serve us. If we are to remember him when we share bread, we are also called to remember him when we serve each other as he has shown us. If we want to sit at the table, we are also asked to bring a towel. How am I serving others around me and who is serving me these days? May the Lord give us the strength and humility to serve others as he did. As we follow his example, we pray for our own intentions in silence. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. Lord, give us the strength to follow your example as we serve those around us these days of Holy Week. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
