A Moment To Pause: Monday 17th August 2026

Good morning and welcome, and thank you for joining us for our morning prayer with the Oblate Family. Today we join Jocelyne Verdier in London on Monday the 17th of August. Welcome to A Moment to pause. Today's Gospel is Matthew chapter 19, Verse 16 to 22.   A man asked Jesus: What good deed must I do to have eternal life? And Jesus answered by the 10 commandments and asked him to sell all his possessions. When the man heard it, he went away sorrowful.    Sometimes as humans, we find it difficult to put them in practise in our daily life but the Lord Himself, promise to give us strength when we invite him in our prayers.  Let's us pray:  Lord, thank you for your Holy Spirit, for the gift of life.
