Welcome to A Moment to Pause. We join Anne Walker from the Friends Of Saint Eugene, Crewe. Good morning. It's Monday, the 3rd of August. Welcome to A Moment To Pause. Today's Gospel is taken from Matthew chapter 14, verses 22 to 36. Immediately after miraculously feeding the 5000. Jesus dismisses the crowd and sends his disciples across the sea to rest. He gives us moments. Moments of rest and refreshment to strengthen us for the journey of faith. For the journey we are to make. Jesus then goes up the mountain to pray, giving us again an example of how to pray. Let us now pause for a moment and think about how we pray. Let God speak to our hearts to give us the gift of serenity whilst we pray. Amen.
