A Moment To Pause: Saturday January 24th 2026 of Ordinary Time - Daily reflection #prayer podcast

from A Moment to Pause - a short daily Christmas reflection · host The Oblates

Good morning and thank you for joining our Oblate short time to pause, reflect and pray together on Saturday January 24th 2026 of Ordinary Time. Thanks to Mary O'Brien in Dublin for today's reflection: In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the holy Spirt, Amen. Thank you for joining us for a time of reflection and prayer with our Gospel text, which today is from Mark 3:20-21 “Then he went home, and the crowd came together again, so that they could not even eat. When his family heard it, they went out to restrain him, for people were saying, “He has gone out of his mind.” This gospel notes the discomfort felt by Jesus’ family because of his teachings and way of life. It must have been disrupting when Jesus went home and was followed by so many … as the gospel says,’ they could not even eat!’ We know that when someone stands out from the crowd it can be difficult for other members of their family. It takes courage to be different, to stand up for what you believe in…to show a new way of making a difference for the good in the life of others. Jesus, grant me the courage to be true to my faith and beliefs, even when others around me don’t understand me. You have walked this road before me, and you now take my hand and walk with me. Amen. #bible #prayer #podcast #faith #catholic
