A Moment To Pause: Thursday 29th January 2026 #dailypodcast #scripturepodcast

from A Moment to Pause - a short daily Christmas reflection · host The Oblates

Good morning and thank you for joining our Oblate short time to pause, reflect and pray together on Thursday January 29th 2026 of Ordinary Time. Thanks to Br Michael Moore OMI for today's reflection:  In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Good morning and welcome and thank you for joining us for our morning prayer with the oblate family. In John's Gospel, Jesus calls himself the light of the world. Jesus also calls and asks each of us to let our own light shine in and for the world. He asks us not to hide our light away. Today, may we each have the courage to shine brightly. Who knows, our small light might be the one thing the world is longing for today. We offer our own intentions. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. Lord, we thank you for the light that is hidden within each of us. Help us to let it shine out brightly for all to see this day. Thank you for joining us for our morning prayer. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
