A Moment To Pause: Wednesday 28th January 2026 #dailypodcast #scripturepodcast

from A Moment to Pause - a short daily Christmas reflection · host The Oblates

Good morning and thank you for joining our Oblate short time to pause, reflect and pray together on Wednesday January 28th 2026 of Ordinary Time. Thanks to Br Michael Moore OMI for today's reflection:  In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Good morning and welcome, and thank you for joining us for our morning prayer with the oblate family. Jesus likens the word of God to a seed, and like any seed, God's Word, when planted in us, needs to be nurtured, nourished, and cared for. If we dismiss or ignore this, the Word of God will not take root in us, grow and produce fruit and fruit that will last. Let us take a little time today to notice, nurture, and nourish God's powerful life giving word that is freely given and sown in each of us. We offer our own intentions. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Lord, to the example of Saint Thomas Aquinas, may we protect and care for your powerful word which is sown in each of us. May we treasure and share with all those we meet. Amen. Thank you for joining us for our morning prayer.
