A Mom's Guide to School FUNDRAISING!

from Christians and Money · host Dr. Trudy Beerman, DSL

I think Sarah Barrett is a Rising Star because she has become the champion of school fundraising. Schools, whether government funded, or private tend to need more money than they have access to.  There are numerous appeals to parents to help fund extra projects, or equipment for the sake of the children's learning experience.  PTA's have the burden of being the main organization to be the liason between the school and the families to raise these extra funds. Sarah is a former teacher with a MA in Education who has been fundraising for schools since 2008.  She is the author of A Mom’s Guide to School Fundraising and has consulted for public and private schools and clubs across the country.  She has been featured on RetailMeNot.com, Scholastic: Parent & Child and The New York Times. She thinks all kids should be able to have a well-rounded education, team uniforms, instruments and support.  Don’t you? Join us to learn  the best thing that schools can do to raise more money for their schools; andHow can small businesses/communities get involved?
