This week, Bishop Rodgers teaches from 1 Kings 17:8-16 on "A Mother's Extraordinary Test of Faith". When the widow of Zarephath met Prophet Elijah, she thought she was preparing her last meal. Faith is the step between promise and assurance. Every miracle begins with a simple act of obedience. Elijah's faith was tested severely when he learned the widow's supplies were exhausted. The Spirit of God prompted him to ask the widow for necessary assistance. The widow obeyed in spite of her dire circumstances. Obedience is better than sacrifice.
