She smiles like she’s in on a secret Like she’s certain of some grace She smiles like the sunshine, The beams stream from her face. She steps with an uncommon lightness She faces pain as if – It all melted in the brightness – As if everything’s a gift. Hope that she will pray for you And bring you forth before the Father, For your sake she will implore, And pray for salvation rather. Thank the Spirit for a faith like hers, One that’s always striving – Steadfast in her prayers, A living one among the dying.
