A Must Do With God's Word

*Midweek Worship* October 13, 2021 ***A Must Do With The Word Of God*** Joshua 1:8 kjv (This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.) (Must:) -To be obliged; to be necessitated. It expresses both physical and moral necessity. ✔️ I - Shall not DEPART ((This book of the law shall not DEPART out of thy mouth;)) -To leave; -to deviate from; -to forsake; -not to adhere to or follow; >>> as, we cannot depart from our rules. (a.) Not to DEPART from "Book of the Law" (b.) Not to DEPART out of "Thy mouth" ***I have not DEPARTED from thy judgments. Psalms 119:115. ✔️ II - Thou shalt MEDITATE ((but thou shalt MEDITATE therein day and night,)) -To dwell on any thing in thought; -to study; -to turn or revolve any subject in the mind; (a.) meditate on the "Word of God" (b.) day and night ***His delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth he MEDITATE day and night. Psalms 1:2. ✔️ III - Thou mayest OBSERVE ((that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein:)) -To see or behold with some attention; -To keep or adhere to in practice; -to comply with; -to obey; >>> as, to observe the laws of the state; to observe the rules and regulations of a society. (a.) "to do" (b.) according to all that is written therein (c.) written on "the Word of God" ***Teaching them to OBSERVE all things whatsoever I have commanded you. Matthew 28:20. ✔️ (CONCLUSION) ((for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.)) Thou shalt MAKE -To cause to have any quality, as by change or alteration -To bring into any state or condition; -To commit; to do. -To intend or to do; to purpose to do. -To fulfill; to accomplish; (a.) thy way prosperous (b.) shalt have good success (Way) -Manner of doing any thing; method; means of doing. Seek the best way of learning, and pursue it. -Manner of thinking or behavior; particular turn of opinion; determination -Method or plan of life and conduct. (Prosperous) -Advancing in the pursuit of any thing desirable; making gain or increase; thriving; successful; as a prosperous trade; a prosperous voyage; a prosperous expedition or undertaking; a prosperous man, family or nation; a prosperous war. (Good) -Having moral qualities best adapted to its design and use, or the qualities which God's law (Success) -The favorable or prosperous termination of any thing attempted. >>>Not on temporal aims or dreams.. but success in all things, heavenly, godly things.
