A Mysterious Picture: Wives, Husbands, Christ, and the Church

Marriage was instituted by God in the Garden where He joins a husband and wife together in a one flesh union. God has specific requirements for husbands and wives. Wives are to be submissive to their husbands as to the Lord, and husbands are to sacrificially and lovingly care for their wives as Christ loved the church. Marriage is to be a vivid picture of Christ's relationship to the church.Scriptures: Ephesians 5:22-33
