Maike Lambarth, CEO und Co-Gründerin von Cyclize, und Amanda Birkenholz, Principal bei UVC Partners, sprechen in DeepTech Decoded mit Host Jan Thomas über Circular Carbon, Plasma-Reforming und den Weg zur ersten industriellen Anlage. Cyclize wandelt gemischte Abfälle und CO₂ in Synthesegas um – einen direkten Ersatz für fossile Rohstoffe. Mit einer laufenden Series-A-Finanzierungsrunde, gesicherten Abnahmeverträgen über zehn Jahre und bis zu 250 Mio. Euro Jahresumsatz pro Anlage ist Cyclize eines der spannendsten DeepTech-Startups im DACH-Raum. Über die Gäste Maike Lambarth ist Ingenieurin, Unternehmerin und CEO sowie Co-Gründerin von Cyclize. Sie studierte und forschte an der Universität Stuttgart, wo sie von 2019 bis 2025 in der Power-to-X-Gruppe des Instituts für Elektrische Energiespeichersysteme arbeitete. Parallel gründete sie 2017 Deutschlands erstes Foodsharing-Café, die Raupe Immersatt in Stuttgart. Im März 2021 gründete sie Cyclize. Mit Cyclize transformiert Maike Lambarth gemischte Abfälle und CO₂ mittels Plasma-Technologie in Synthesegas – einen Erdgasersatz für die Chemieindustrie. Das Unternehmen wurde mit dem Stuttgarter Innovationspreis 2025 und dem Renewable Materials Innovation Award 2025 ausgezeichnet und ist Alumna des Circular Valley Accelerators (Batch 9). Maike wurde im Rahmen der Baden-Badener Unternehmer Gespräche (BBUG) porträtiert und nahm am Gipfeltreffen der Weltmarktführer 2026 teil. Amanda ist Risikokapitalinvestorin und engagiert sich leidenschaftlich für Tech-Start-ups, die wichtige Probleme lösen, und hilft ihnen beim Wachstum. Ihr Schwerpunkt liegt auf den Bereichen Klima und DeepTech. Sie hat in Unternehmen wie Cyclize, Planqc, DeepDrive und STABL investiert. Vor ihrer Tätigkeit bei UVC war Amanda Mitbegründerin von VISN, einem preisgekrönten B2B-Startup. Sie arbeitete als Venture Architect Director bei einem Company Builder, wo sie skalierbare B2B-Startups aufbaute und zudem mehrere Startups im Rahmen von Accelerator-Programmen coachte und betreute.  Amanda hat einen multikulturellen Hintergrund und hat weltweit gearbeitet und gelebt (Deutschland, Australien, Großbritannien, Spanien, Thailand). Sie hat einen Abschluss in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen mit dem Schwerpunkt Maschinenbau von der RWTH Aachen. Außerdem hat sie das Kinderbuch „CHAMP – Jagd auf den Trojaner“ geschrieben und im Eigenverlag veröffentlicht, mit dem Ziel, MINT-Fächer für Kinder zugänglicher zu machen.
