But a research project led by Chris Blattman, PhD, Economist, Professor at the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy, and author of "Why We Fight," has shown that providing financial help and behavioral therapy to those most likely to commit crimes reduces the future risk of criminal behavior.
