from "Prayer Changes Everything" Devotion for Today Hosted by Y.E.S. Jesus Youth Encountering Savior Jesus
May 21, 2024 Daily Devotion: "A New Heart" 2 Corinthians 5:17 New International Version 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: [a] The old has gone, the new is here! The old you, the one who loved sin and hated God is no longer there. You have been given a new heart: a heart that is frustrated with sin, a heart that loves God, and a heart that desires to be more like Christ. When we place our faith in Christ, God removes our old selves and replaces it with His righteousness. While we will continue to fall short of His holiness, He continues to redeem us and walk with us, continually making us into a new creation. Our salvation is beyond amazing. Jesus truly does it all! He forgives us, He gives us a new heart, He changes us, He loves us when we fail, He is patient with us, He protects us, and He comforts us. He is an amazing Savior. He is our Shame Breaker.
