As followers of Christ we are commanded to love one another. But God wants to remind us today that love is more than emotion. Pure love is active. You can’t really say you truly love someone without doing something to express it. That’s what Jesus did. He sacrificed and humbled Himself because of His love for us, and He wants us to do the same for others, even to those who don’t deserve it. [ A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.-John 13:34-35 ]
