A New Song

from The God of Second Chances · host Ron Clark

As the Hebrew people fled Egypt and crossed the mighty Red Sea, they sang a song of praise to Yahweh. This is the only artifact we have from this mighty act of God. While some struggle to find remnants from the sunken Egyptian army, others seek to find the exact location of the massive crossing. Yet the one undeniable artifact from the event is a simple song. Had Israel not written this song we would not know the joy they felt when they became free. Each day people throw off the shackles of sin, oppression, slavery, guilt, and shame. What song or poem have we written to celebrate this mighty act of God? Songs and poems remind us of how happy we were or are, and sometimes God's people forget to write a new song for the new chapter in their lives. This new song can guide us as we grow in our faith and move forward in our healing.
