from Women Waken: Spiritual Healing for Trauma in Relationships to Shift from Codependency to Divine Feminine · host Whitney Walker

I'm a little early as next week is National Eating Disorder Awareness week, Feb 24 - Mar 2, 2025. Yet i couldn't wait to release this new guest episode where I had the chance to put the spotlight back on the significant struggles Women have with their relationship with food, eating, and their bodies. It had been awhile since I've covered this topic which has been so prevalent in my life. And I couldn't have connected with a better Soul to tackle the topic with than my guest this week, Amber Romaniuk. Amber is an Emotional Eating, Digestive and Hormone Expert, with 11 years experience helping high achieving women create a level of body confidence, intuition and optimal health through powerful mindset healing, self-care and overcoming self-sabotage with food. On this guest episode, Amber shares her harrowing battle with disordered eating and self sabotage. She explains how she overcame her own emotional eating after gaining and losing more than 1000 lbs and spending over $50,000 on binge foods and spending 5 years balancing her hormones, digestion. She also dismantled her deep limiting beliefs and behaviors keeping her stuck in the same looping patterns. Together Amber and I then discuss several matters related to ED and recovery including how it effects our relationships, different phases of emotional eating, what causes self-sabotage with food, how diet mentalities fuel self-sabotage with food, how does emotional eating impact hormones for women, and how being an empath impacts our relationship with food.Bio: Amber Romaniuk helps Women with eating and body image issues through addressing the key negative thoughts, patterns and limiting beliefs that keep women stuck in the same behaviors for years and decades that they haven’t been able to break.
