A "Patriotic" Edition of RRR # 1,355 July 5, 2026
from Rapidly Rotating Records · host Glenn Robison
Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t not tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.It may be the day after Independence Day, but it's still the holiday weekend, so this week's show end with a couple of patriotic tunes and some food for thought. I made the announcement in the intro that we had two birthday segments on the show. While Harry M. Snodgrass does have a birthday salute, even though I announced it, Alvin Kaufman does not. The playlist was changed just before I recorded the show and I forgot to update the intro in the script and read it without remembering the change. Instead, there's a segment about islands. We'll also visit the zoo and do some waddlin'. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Just click the link above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience. THANKS FOR LISTENING! ENJOY THE SHOW!Here’s the complete playlist:Segment 1: Harry M.
