A People Who Hope (Epilogue 1): 1 Peter 1:3-9: Day 22

Our hope is secure because it rests not on our circumstances, but on the resurrected Christ who keeps us.As we close this section of our journey through 1 Peter, it's worth returning to where Peter began. Hope. Not vague optimism. Not the hope that circumstances will work out the way we want. A living hope rooted in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Peter wrote to people who were scattered, suffering, and uncertain about what the future held. Yet he began by reminding them that their circumstances did not define their identity or determine their future. They were chosen and being kept by God. They had an inheritance that could not perish. And they had a hope that suffering could not destroy. That's still true for us.Reflection:  Where do you need to move your hope from "I hope this situation changes" to "I hope in Christ, whatever happens"?
