This week, what we're throwing down on the Table is a fantastic discussion with author Dave Rueter (@wheresbenrivera) who penned the book, "A Phillies Odyssey: Exploring the Forgotten Players of Fighting Yesteryear." We talked about those players who weren't all-stars, but made significant impacts on our lives growing up as Phillies fans. It was a fun discussion!But first, as the Eagles head to the playoffs, we discussed which aspects of this Birds' team developed the best and worst this season. (approx. 4:15)Then we gave our thoughts on how this Philadelphia 76ers team won 7 games in a row, and whether they have the wherewithal to continue winning as tougher games are upon them. First, how critical this new collective bargaining agreement will be between MLB and the Players Union as it pertains to the relevance of baseball for years to come. We also discussed Phillies players that meant so much to us growing up as kids, players who weren't big names, but meant a lot to us.
