A Playful Hip Flow for Mobility and Transitions

from Mindfulness, Movement, and Exercise · host Jenn Pilotti

This week’s movement snack is a quick, creative hip flow you can use to explore mobility, coordination, and seamless floor transitions.Starting from a seated position with your hands behind you and feet flat, you’ll move through a sequence that layers step by step:Tip and sweep – let your knees fall to one side and sweep the opposite leg forward and around.Reach and step – lift a hand, step into a half Turkish get-up position, and return.Add the squat – from the half get-up, step through into a squat, then unwind.Flow and pivot – once you’re comfortable, add a pivot and leg reach for a dynamic, circular transition. This one’s great for warming up the hips, building fluid floor patterns, and keeping your movement playful.🎥 Watch the video above.
