A Pod of Their Own, Episode 11: Sometimes the Mets are alright

Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, a show by the women of Amazin’ Avenue where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.  This week, we begin by discussing the Mets bouncing back with a solid week but the Mets couldn’t refrain from Metsing and mishandled Robinson Cano’s injury.  Next, we answer fan emails during our Seventh Inning Stretch segment.  We change gears after that and take a look at the underside of baseball when it comes to signing players from Latin America. The Dodgers were recently nominated for Humanitarian of the Year which concerned us considering they are one of the teams under investigation by the Department of Justice. We wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.
