A Pod of Their Own, Episode 2: Please sign Dallas Keuchel

from Home Run Applesauce: A New York Mets podcast · host Home Run Applesauce

Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, a show by the women of Amazin’ Avenue where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space. This week, we begin by discussing the lack of pitching depth and how the Mets could seriously get a leg up on their competition by signing Dallas Keuchel. Next, we talk about a controversial sign that was displayed in the Wrigley Field press box that was an incredibly tone deaf move by the organization.  We introduced a new segment this week where we answered some emails, one of which suggested a lyric change in “Meet the Mets”. Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise. You can follow A Pod of Their Own on Twitter (@apodoftheirown) and you can also follow all of our co-hosts on Twitter: Allison McCague (@PetitePhD), Maggie Wiggin (@maggie162), and Linda Surovich (@LindaSurovich). You can also email the show at [email protected]. Look for A Pod of Their Own in your feeds every Wednesday and don’t forget: there’s no crying in podcasting! Learn more about your ad choices.
