We began the show with a quick chat about the latest Mets rumors and the relatively slow free agent market. Next, we did another Insomnia Cookies tasting, answering your questions from Facebook between bites. In the light of the recent discourse surrounding Hall of Fame balloting, we announced another fundraising effort—call it a “mini Dollars4Dingers”—for victims of domestic violence. Anyone who makes a donation in any amount to the National Domestic Violence Hotline or your local women’s shelter/domestic violence charity of choice and sends us your receipt (via Twitter DM to @apodoftheirown or via email to [email protected]) will be entered into a drawing for several pieces of Mets memorabilia. We will do this drawing on an episode of the show in late February when pitchers and catchers report. Let’s get fundraising!
