Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, a show by the women of Amazin’ Avenue where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.  This week, we briefly cover the Mets’ trade for Joey Lucchesi before launching into Jared Porter’s harassment of a female reporter and subsequent firing by the Mets. This prompts a greater discussion of baseball’s toxic culture and how the Mets’ interest in Trevor Bauer makes their words about “integrity” and “zero tolerance” ring hollow.
