A practical tool to help with fear

from Redemption HOU podcast · host Redemption HOU

Even when we don’t consider ourselves to be fearful people, many of our actions are attempts to cope with our deep fears and anxieties—especially as we all swim in this current epoch of turmoil. These fear-driven actions, knowingly or not, create disconnection. They lead to isolation, relational damage, suspicion, and cynicism. They keep us from connecting with others in the healthy and life-giving ways we need. So our fear and pain lead us to act out which then results in even more pain and fear. But when our souls begin to experience the God who is relentlessly present and fiercely loving, our fears will melt away. Instead of over-reactivity, suspicion, and hardness, we find ourselves to have suppleness and steadfastness in every situation, even the worst ones of life. And we find ourselves with space and energy to connect with people from a place of deep wholeness. This is the kind of life we’re meant to live. And it starts with experiencing a deep connection with God. Even if you never have before—we can help you with that today and this week.
