A Prayer to St. Augustine

Perhaps the most inspiring part of his story is the relationship between a praying mother and a wandering son. St. Monica prayed for Augustine for many years before seeing his conversion. Augustine later recognized the extraordinary role her prayers had played in bringing him back to God. His life reminds us that conversion can take time, God's grace can reach us in unexpected ways, and we should never stop praying for someone we love. Feast Day: August 28 Patron saint of: theologians, printers, brewers, and those seeking conversion.
