A preserved and mounted fish on display

Today I saw a picture of a large fish on display, having previously been preserved and mounted by a taxidermist. Great care and skills are required by the taxidermist, in anatomy, sculpting and preservation, to recreate an animal's natural pose and features. The life of the animal is over but is being celebrated. We have so much more to celebrate - that Jesus is offering us life into eternity. There are many verses that tell us this. Jesus says to us: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life ... I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one." (John 3:16; 10:28-30).
