The First Win: A PROP-er performance with Leah Bartlett, Sale Sharks Women (A) Review! The word giddy is used far too many times as Jess and Jacob excitedly ramble on about Tigers first-ever victory in the top flight of domestic Women’s rugby away at Chester RFC against Sale Sharks. We over-celebrate so the girls don’t have to and can keep calm heads as they have a week off. We are delighted to be joined by Woman-of-the-Moment, local gal and Tigers superfan Leah Bartlett who’s 80 minute shift dominating the scrum, holding players over the line and, yes of course, scoring the winning try on Sunday’s game all helped the team to victory. She chats us on calling scrums off the mark, gives an insight on post-match celebrations and her take on Scotland going into the Women’s Six Nations in April. After this, the two JBs are brought back to earth with more Player Profile, this time Welsh international centre Becca de Filippo, and chatting about a poll we ran on why attendances at home games have been low thus far this season, and the great opportunities the PWR has to continuing growing in its own limelight with the Six Nations-enforced break for the Gallagher Men’s Premiership.
