Genesis 39:2–3 (KJV)And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand.At this point in Joseph’s story, he was a slave in his master’s house, yet he was still called a prosperous man in the eyes of God! Many Christians measure prosperity by their current circumstances, but having God with you is the greatest indicator of success.Though Joseph was a slave at this point in the story, he later became one of the most powerful men in Egypt. God positions you to receive the riches he’s already given you in the spiritual realm. Even if your current situation doesn’t reflect what God says about you, begin to live as though you are prosperous, because you are! PRAYER FOR TODAYLord, help me to walk daily in the awareness of Your presence with me.
