The Grateful Dead said it best - what a long strange trip it’s been! I can’t summarize 46 years on planet earth in one minisode, but I wanted to share a little about myself and my inspiration for carving out some verbal real estate in the podcast space.   It’s certainly been a trip.   I’m a late bloomer, chanting yogi, pup mama and high desert dweller.   In this episode we take a peek into how life has shaped me, especially in the last decade - from being a reckless party girl in NYC to unexpectedly leaving the country, finding a yoga and chanting practice, and rebuilding my life in New Mexico, the land of pretty yet prickly paths - just like life.  Oh, and, getting back in my own way again, and re-healing…… Some additional nuggets! We are launching on November 27th which is the birthday of the late and great Bill Schlosser, otherwise known as my Dad.   Let’s take a breath and pause for the man who taught me all about breathwork and affirmations back in the 90s before the internet could make spirituality cool and groovy, and where the words “take a breath” usually meant I was about to be grounded. Why Bloom with a BOOM?  When we come into alignment (from therapy, chanting,  meditation, better diet, great sex, all or none of the above) it tends to brighten all aspects of our life - there’s nothing subtle about personal transformation.  Also, it  has a ripple effect on the people around us - we become a catalyst for their growth.  Otherwise, c’mon, how on earth would we have the discipline to chant mantras or cut back on carbs? (I’m not a dieter by the way - disclaimer!!!) Why Prickly Path? Besides being a metaphor for life, it’s your average cactus trail in New Mexico where I live. These shorter solo episodes are a place for dusting off some of my skeletons, but in addition to juicy stories I’ll also be opening my magic tool kit from time to time - the practices that keep me blooming.  However I can only teach so much yoga, chanting and breathwork through an audio episode, so you should subscribe to my private FB group for additional content - my next big project is creating videos and live virtual classes, but one step at a time!
