A quietlife, according to him, is shaped by holiness, genuine love forothers, deep contentment, and honest work. Ecclesiastes 4:4–6adds a warning about three traps in everyday living: envy, laziness,and overworking. Envy pushes people to chase after what othershave, leaving them exhausted. Laziness wears down responsibility,while overworking leads to restlessness and emptiness.
